These are the last few balls of yarn left to be knit into scarves. I bought them for 1/2 off at the Tangled Web on Saturday.
I’ve actually started knitting this one. Cast on 10 on size 13 needles. It is knitting up more gorgeous than expected. There is just enough verigation to show stripes of browns, oranges and reds. It’s really lovely.
This feels a lot like the artful yarns above, so I am hoping it’s just as easy to knit. I’m also hoping for a bit of verigation as it seems to have some slight changes of color in the yarn.
This is just like the pink scarf I made over the weekend. I have 3 balls of it, though… so enough for some fringe. Whee!
This just feels fun. It’s called Snowflake and is sort of a ripped jersey knit sort of fiber. My original plan was to strand this with the orange from above, but I think it’ll make a great scarf on its own.
I found out on Sunday from Joe that Melissa is hoping for another scarf for Christmas. I had knit her a really long cozy scarf from Lion Brand Chenille back when I first learned to knit. I did it in the burgundy color and she loves it. When I was at Michael’s yesterday I picked up a skein of purple, which I think she’ll like. Her winter coat is silver, so I think that’ll look pretty cool. I started it last night and am halfway through. I cast on 20, all garter stitch on size 15s. I am knitting this for her in place of the rockcuffs that I originally planned.
I’m seeing some light at the end of the Holiday knitting tunnel!
