MDsheepfest

I’m so excited to go to my first Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival on May 1st! A bunch of PhillyKnitters are getting together and heading down to check out the vendors, watch the wool get spun into yarn and spend a little time shopping. I saw the vendor list and nearly passed out. Not that I need any more yarn, but it’s always fun to look! I just finished making the Iron-on transfer of my banner to wear on a t-shirt, so if you see me, be sure to stop and say hello!

I wanted to talk for a minute about Felt droppings.

feltdroppings

Does anyone else think these are the most hysterical things EVER? I always find them in the lingerie bag that I use when felting and they are just too funny.

I finished another tote bag. This one is striped charcoal grey Lamb’s Pride and an aubergine Peace Fleece. I used the same pattern as the Uptown tote, without the eyelash. Here it is unfelted:

and here it is after Robbie claimed it as his own.

I’ll try to get him to lay on it once it is dry, so you can see the change in size.

My husband does NOT like felt droppings at all, especially when they’re clogging up the drain. But I like them and always have to resist keeping them for some future project whenever I see them.
