I’m still making my way through my 40×40 list and time is starting to close in on me! You might remember that #13 was “Finish 5 quilts in my stash.” I’m happy to report that I am nearly finished with this one! All five quilts have been pieced, quilted and four are awaiting the binding.
Note: Pardon the blurry shots. They looked clear on my iPhone and once I realized they were crappy pictures, I had already sent the quilt to its new owner!
The first completely finished quilt was this PINK quilt that I made for a friend who traded some cool vintage paper findings for a Breast Cancer Awareness quilt that she can auction to raise money for cancer research. I used a pack of charm squares from Moda that I picked up on a trip to Philly. I had the floral border fabric and the green binding fabric in my stash. This was the first quilt where I made the binding. It was way easier than I expected! What was I so afraid of!?
I had the quilt longarm quilted by a friend I met at a quilt shop get together. She was fast and fun to work with. Here is a blurry up-close shot of the quilted pattern.
Only four more quilts left to bind!
