PINK Quilt

I’m still making my way through my 40×40 list and time is starting to close in on me! You might remember that #13 was “Finish 5 quilts in my stash.” I’m happy to report that I am nearly finished with this one! All five quilts have been pieced, quilted and four are awaiting the binding.

Note: Pardon the blurry shots. They looked clear on my iPhone and once I realized they were crappy pictures, I had already sent the quilt to its new owner!

The first completely finished quilt was this PINK quilt that I made for a friend who traded some cool vintage paper findings for a Breast Cancer Awareness quilt that she can auction to raise money for cancer research. I used a pack of charm squares from Moda that I picked up on a trip to Philly. I had the floral border fabric and the green binding fabric in my stash. This was the first quilt where I made the binding. It was way easier than I expected! What was I so afraid of!?

I had the quilt longarm quilted by a friend I met at a quilt shop get together. She was fast and fun to work with.  Here is a blurry up-close shot of the quilted pattern.

Only four more quilts left to bind!

I really like this one!! My whole life I was never a fan of the color Pink. I am newly coming to like it more and more (especially paired with green). This is just wonderful!

LOVE the pink one! WOW. YOU ARE SCREAMIN ALONG! I lost my (electronic version) 50×50 list…I must recreate – I am fast approaching and I KNOW my WIPs are on there….not to mention my OSCAR MOVIES (will never make it on that front…maybe move that one to the BUCKET LIST to buy me some time????)

Love the quilt in the forefront of this pic…what is that fabric??
