Another year, come and gone. I’m officially ‘thirty-something’. Man, I remember when that show was on and the thirties just felt eons away. Now I’m 31. Yes, that’s realtively young, but the days and years certainly aren’t slowing down. If anything, as the years pass, they whizz by blurrier than ever. I’m still in shock that the summer is over… didn’t we just see the 4th of July fireworks? So on this day of happiness that I have lived another happy, healthy year I reflected on just what made this year so good. Knitting is on the top of that list. I learned to knit in February and it has soothed me through many a rough patch since then. Some of my friends scoff at the ‘obsession’ (I say enthusiasm) I’ve shown for my new talent, some think it’s just a phase, but I know it’s definitely a lifelong addition to my personality. A trait I hope to pass down to my children, grandchildren or if that doesn’t happen, nieces and nephews, children of friends and yes, I’ll be happy sharing with strangers. I won’t be ashamed of being that crazy knitting lady with the 6 cats!! Ok, that might be the champagne talking, but, dammit, I’m PROUD to be a knitter!
Cool knitting swag I got: The world of knitted toys off of my amazon.com wish list! Whee!
