Getting Dressed.

All of a sudden my social calendar is exploding with engagements that require me to wear more than just dark jeans and a soft t-shirt. I have been searching for dresses that are casual but not too casual, fancy but not too fancy, but most of all comfortable. I’ve narrowed it down to three, all from JCrew. Ideally, I would like to buy one dress. These particular dresses are a bit pricier than I typically spend on dresses so buying all three, though a lovely fantasy, is not really in the budget. My idea would be to accessorize them differently for each occasion (three weddings and an office holiday party).

So, lovely friends, care to vote on which dress is the best? Check them out below:

Option #1:

Blakely in spiced wine

Option #2:

Cecelia in vintage burgundy

Option #3:

Louisa in dark charcoal

Which dress is best?

They’re all gorgeous, but I’m voting for number 1 also. I love the neckline.

I was all about #1, until I saw #2. Now I can’t decide between them! I think they’d both look fabulous on you; just a matter of leaning more toward casual or fancy. I could see #1 maybe being more versatile beyond just these 4 events. Either way I don’t think you can go wrong 🙂

A friend of mine is going through something similar. She’s posted several dresses she’s purchased or is interested in on her Pinterest board:

In particular, I like this one:

A place to check out, if you want to get a couple of different dresses and not spend a fortune, check Dress Barn. It sounds odd but they’ve got some nice pieces this season–including several like the ones you posted about and they average $70/each.

I like them all but am most drawn ot the last one which might be more versatile since it is a neutral grey.

I’ve been on a dress buying rampage (don’t tell my husband) for the fall. I just got this one for under $30 http://www.coldwatercreek.com/product-detail/57997/64464/washed-silk-cowl-dress.aspx?colorid=380&refLink=search.aspx&Skn=outlet

I keep looking at this website that has tons of cute dresses that they will custom make to fit you and you can customize the sleeves, lenght and neckline. The prices are really good and here’s a $20 off code SC0811 or BELLA0811. http://www.eshakti.com
