This isn't the best photo of Ginger, but it's the one that shows her personality best. She's a cantankerous, cranky cat, but I loved her none the less.
When I went to the vet on Monday to get her shots updated for the flight to Phoenix, we found that
she had lost 6 lbs since her last visit. The doctor did a blood test and

for the rest of her life) and knowing Ginger
and how she doesn't even like nice, friendly petting let alone an IV, plus the trauma of the upcoming move, I made the difficult
decision to let her go. He said without the treatment she would not
have lasted much longer. I feel like such a bad owner but I know that
with everything going on she would not get the care she needs which, I think, is
So Ginger is on the rainbow
bridge with Mr Fripp. Today is the first time I can think about it
without crying and I know in the long run it's for the best. But I totally thought she would
outlive me out of spite.
