Cookies, chocolate, cute cartoon characters… how can I go wrong?

I bought this box of cookies at a little Japanese Market on Queen Street in Toronto. They had a table set up outside the shop where I sampled 3 Japanese ice creams: Green Tea, Ginger and Red Bean. I thought I would like the Green Tea one best, but it was the Red Bean flavor that impressed me most! I also really loved the Ginger one… it had little pieces of ginger in it! We knew we wouldn’t be able to bring the ice cream back to the states with us without it melting, but I couldn’t resist taking a peek inside the shop. It had a refrigerator and frozen section along with a huge selection of noodles and sauces. We quickly found the cookies and candies. Melissa stocked up on gummies and I picked a bag of jellybeans a box of Pocky and these cookies.

These shortbread-like cookies have a cartoon character embossed on them with a milk chocolate dipped back. In the whole box, I only got 1 duplicate character. Very impressive!
