Last night was my first class at UArts!
One of the things I wanted to do when I was unemployed was to go back to school. It took me a while to decide what I wanted to go for… so many decisions!
I waffled back and forth between culinary school and art school and when I found the UArts Continuing Education program in Print Design, I was hooked! The program is exactly what I wanted to learn in Print Design!
When I tried to register in the summer, the first class in the series was sold out. Since the class I am taking is the pre-requisite for the program, I was out of luck until Spring semester opened up… which was last night!
Last night was great! We started in Photoshop and will progress to Illustrator and then InDesign. Once I have the foundations under my belt, I’ll be able to take classes on each specific program. I also get to choose 1 elective and I think I might choose a Photography class. I have always wanted darkroom experience!
So for the next 10 weeks, I’ll be flexing my chops and learning some new skills. I plan on practicing on photos for this blog, so keep an eye out for them!
